Tenderloin Thursday at the American Legion

Thursday, April 28, the Vinton American Legion George G Luckey Post 57 will hole a Tenderloin dinner from 5-7:00 p.m.The menu will include an 8oz Tenderloin, French Fries, Cole Slaw and a Dessert. The cost, $10.00.

Bear Creek Cemetery Memorial Day Service 9:00 a.m.

The Bear Creek Cemetery will be holding a Memorial Day Service beginning at 9:00 am on Monday, May 30, 2022. Coffee and rolls will be served at the township hall (Bear Creek Church) from 7:30 am until 10:30 am freewill donation.The Bear Creek Church is located 3 1/2 miles south of Brandon on the Brandon blacktop or 3 1/2 miles north of Highway 150 on the Brandon Blacktop.

BENTON COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE 2022: BACK TO NORMAL!

Cancer hasn’t stopped, and neither has the American Cancer Society in Benton County. Cancer did not take a break during the pandemic. The American Cancer Society needs our help more than ever to continue lifesaving cancer research and programs. Help us keep fighting because an estimated 125 people will be diagnosed with cancer in Benton County this year!Please join us for the 2022 Relay For Life of Benton County—back to normal and in person--on Sunday, June 5th at the Benton Community High School track from 6:00 PM through 10:00 PM.

Eco-Extravaganza: Feelin' the heat with BCCC

On Saturday, April 23 from 11-2 p.m. Benton County Conservation will host Smokey the Bear at the Benton County Nature Center located at 5718 20th Ave. Drive, Vinton. Smokey Bear will be there, will you? Come learn about prairies, fire safety, play games, make crafts and more! This event is free and suitable for the whole family. Come hungry! The VFW Post 8884 will have food for sale and volunteers will be selling baked goods.

Rockin’ the 50’s LaPorte City Women’s Club Style Show Monday, April 25

Come join the Rockin’ 50s entertainment at the LaPorte City Golf Club, located at 9699 Bishop Rd. in LaPorte City. The fun starts on Monday, April 25 with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. for happy hour. The Shellsburg American Legion will have its annual Spring Fish Fry on Friday, April 22 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
